Ministrywindows to be stuffed. I want the cultures of all the lands to be blown about my house as freely as possible." Ghandi What is Interfaith?Interfaith is not a religious denomination in the traditional sense; it is a spiritual movement. Rather than focusing on the differences between the world's religions, an interfaith minister seeks to build bridges between them. The interfaith movement recognizes the commonality between all religious traditions and celebrates the inherent beauty in all of them.
Why I Became and Interfaith MinisterI have had a spiritual calling since I was a small child but was never able to commit to a traditionally religious path.
The interfaith movement is a perfect fit for me because I have always been fascinated and intrigued by all religions equally, especially the underlying esoteric philosophy common to all of them. Over the years, I have developed a conscious relationship with God or Spirit—that mysterious essence that runs through all of life and connects us all with each other, with Nature, and with the greater Universe. This relationship has blossomed as a result of meditation, traditional psychotherapy, spiritual counseling, intensive reading, and my devoted study of Concept-Therapy, a metaphysically oriented course of study that seeks to find the underlying unity between science and religion and provides answers to real life problems. My interfaith studies have enabled me to see God in everything and everyone and to commit to a life of service to others. |
